A REVIEW WRITTEN FOR ME

No, not a Browntown review. This is a review of Kevin Smith's "Clerks III" and it makes me even more eager to see his latest film.

If you read this review, you might think to yourself, "It's not a great review." It's not, but at the same time, it highlights everything I love about Kevin Smith as a filmmaker.

He's not making movies for the general masses. He's making movies for himself, his family & friends, and his fans, and he makes no apologies about it. Some might think that's self-indulgent, and if he were spending $100 million to make his movies, I'd agree. But he makes low budget movies that always turn a profit. He doesn't expect to win awards, but he hopes to entertain those who he cares about (family, friends, and fans).

I mean, when reading the review, it does almost sound like they're talking about our film: some uneven acting in places (mostly me), dirty jokes, and heartwarming scenes. I think this is why my idol Kevin Smith "got" our film and chose it for his festival. Our minds run on the same weird wavelength.
