Writer/Director/Producer, George A. Tramountanas

In addition to this film, George has written several screenplays and directed award-winning shorts including “Screwed: A Hollywood Bedtime Story” and “9 Seconds.” Coming from USC’s Graduate Filmmaking program, he has held a variety of jobs in the entertainment industry. Although this film is his first feature, he hopes it won’t be his last. To learn more about the filmmaker, visit the “About Browntown” page of this site.

Co-Producer, Kendra McDermott

As an actress, Kendra has long been involved with filmmaking in the Pacific Northwest. When the opportunity arose to be more “hands on” with this film, she eagerly jumped in and proved to be a quick study. In addition to her outstanding performance, her support and creative input were much valued by the production team.

final.Andre.jpg

Co-Producer, Andre Tan

Andre graduated from USC’s filmmaking program with George prior to the turn of the century. The two headed their separate ways until fate brought them back together in Seattle. Accomplished in all manners of production (and especially post-production), Andre assisted George throughout the film. His efforts as a consulting director were particularly appreciated when George was in front of the camera trying to remember his lines.

final.Dana.jpg

Co-Producer, Dana Tramountanas

Dana is one of the essential components needed to make this film happen. As a matter of fact, there wouldn’t even be a story without her! She is George’s Alpha and Omega. In addition to preparing every meal for the cast and crew, she helped organize the production and supported George in numerous ways (including acting as his therapist). Although he pestered her for 10 years about making a film before she finally agreed to it, Dana knew that Browntown was the right movie to make at the right time.

Co-Producers, Emmanuel & Peggy Tramountanas

The filmmaker feels lucky and blessed to have had his parents jump onboard as co-producers for this film. Emmanuel came from a tiny village in Greece and worked his entire career as an engineer at Boeing, so moviemaking was not something familiar to him. Regardless, he was on set as often as possible cheering George on (even if he still isn’t sure where Browntown is located). Peggy was George’s biggest fan who, unfortunately, passed away in 2016. Still, she was an essential part of this production. She made the sun shine when needed and directed George to all the awesome people that were necessary to make this film. Her presence was felt every day.

final.Guy.jpg

Cinematographer, Guy Staley

Guy is a cinematic Swiss Army Knife. In addition to having worked in nearly every position in the camera department, he possesses a deep knowledge of sound and post-production (and he has the studio to prove it!). Guy felt a connection with the script and was eager to join the production (while George knows he was fortunate to have him jump aboard). Guy has worked on videos and films throughout the Pacific Northwest, but Browntown was his first feature as the “guy” in charge.

final.Chris.jpg

Editor, Chris Shreve

A post-production powerhouse, Chris managed the multiple hours of footage that came his way during filming. He sorted, synched, and edited the film until the story resembled what you all will see on screen. A Northwest native, Chris has worked on several local productions and industrials. Browntown was the first full feature he edited (and was heavily involved in post-sound). George was thankful for his enthusiasm and sense of humor throughout the many long hours they spent together. Final.Mixer.1.jpg

Sound Mixer, Brad Zoern

Brad is an Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning sound mixer. Introduced to George by a former USC classmate, Brad was available to join our production thanks to the pandemic (a silver lining in dark times). Brad has been part of the sound crew on productions such as "9-1-1," "On the Basis of Sex," and most notably, "The Shape of Water." For his work on the TV miniseries "The Hatfields & McCoys" in 2012, Brad won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Sound Mixing as well as a Cinema Audio Society Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing. For his efforts on the Oscar-winning film "The Shape of Water," Brad received a Best Achievement in Sound Mixing nomination (2018 Academy Awards), a Best Sound nomination (2018 BAFTA Film Awards), and won the award for Outstanding Sound from the Hollywood Post Alliance along with the rest of his sound team.

final.Jeremy.jpg

Sound & Color, Jeremy Arnold

Originally from California, Jeremy actually gained much of his film knowledge in the Philippines, where he attended school and worked on a multitude of projects. Returning to California, he was eventually forced to leave due to the wildfires (which unfortunately now seem like an annual occurrence). He and his filmmaking wife decided to make the move to the Pacific Northwest, where things are too soggy to catch fire. George feels very lucky to have gained such an experienced person for the sound and color of Browntown, and wishes Jeremy a flame-retardant future.
