FEEDBACK

I've written before on feedback, whether it's for a script or film. When you send something that you create out into the world, you want to hear back - good, bad (but nicely), or somewhere in the middle.

After sending out the film link to certain folks involved in the film, I was kinda surprised not to hear anything back from some of them. I mean, when I bumped into them later (in person) they would tell me how much they loved it, but sometimes that was months after I sent them a screening link.

If you have someone you care about who values you enough that they ask you to read or watch their creation, give them a call or send them an email. Even if it's just a generic "Nice job!" you are acknowledging their efforts.

As a creator, I can tell you we seek all the acknowledgement we can get. We're needy folks.

Anyhow, I was thinking about all this because of a little parable another writer shared. Enjoy!
