MAKING SH*T HAPPEN

My headspace hasn't been great lately - both inside and outside of the film. I'm feeling stuck.

Yeah, part of it is due to the pandemic. I mean, we're slowly coming out of limbo, but that doesn't change the fact that limbo stinks. Too bad it ain't like the dance. (How low can you go?)

In ye olde times (pre-pandemic), when I felt stuck, I'd try to shake something loose. I'd work on a writing project, I'd talk my family into some crazy outing...heck, once I even convinced my wife and kids to help me make a film (say what?). Basically, I'd make sh*t happen.

Now? My hands feel a bit tied. And I'm busy cleaning up the remaining poop from the last time sh*t happened. All necessary activities, just not very thrilling.

I know things will open back up. I know I'll eventually be able to see opportunity through the cracks in the fence that's holding us back right now. I'm just in a period where a pause is mandated. Deep breath.

I promised at least one update a week on this film page - sorry if they all can't be thrilling. But here is a nifty little video for you (I can't recall if I've posted this before - I hope not). It's indie filmmaker/actor Mark Duplass talking about the need to make sh*t happen. And for the record, I agree.
