ONE IN A MILLION...

Okay, those weren't our odds for getting into Sundance, but it kinda felt like they were. In any case, we didn't get in. No surprise, but there's still a tiny bit of disappointment. (Hey, I'm human!)

If you look at the link below, you'll see which feature films they did pick. They had over 14,000 submissions and picked less than 70 films (and even fewer features). Still, it was an honor just to donate my $99 application fee...I think.

Our odds were slightly better for Slamdance, but that didn't happen either. (Shoulder shrug.)

Not to sound like sour grapes, but over half the films that got selected had some sort of "known" factor (i.e. a Hollywood connection). Even with my glamorous stints working at Oliver Stone's office and Disney studios, I didn't really have that.

It's okay. I still love our film and I feel we'll end up screening at the festival that's right for us. Hey, I'm still waiting to hear back from 40+ festivals - there's at least one that's GOTTA take us!

Dubuque, Iowa - here we come! (Yes, I really entered a festival there!)
