PRESENTS UNDER THE TREE

I love this time of the year, and one of the things that always excites me most is the Christmas tree and seeing gifts under it. But not because I'm a greedy-type guy. I mean, I'm not the obsessed, impatient kind about presents (that's my wife), I just like the idea that there's surprises out there offering all sorts of possibilities.

I'm saying this now because our film has been gifted throughout the year (and quite a bit recently). All sorts of things have happened (and are happening) that I can't quite share yet. They're well-wrapped gifts under the tree just waiting for me to open and share with you.

Why can't I open them now? Same reasons I've had to hold off in the past:

1) The news I have to share is only a possibility or hasn't been set in stone, and I don't want to jinx it. (This is usually the main reason - just ask any Greek about good news and the mati. I'm way paranoid.)

2) There are other folks I need to make aware of the news before I can tell the world.

Or 3) I have a bunch of good news and I want to parse it out instead of dumping a big pile of gifts on you. I mean, it's cool to get a new PlayStation, a leather coat, and a new phone all at the same time. But isn't it more fun to open up a new gift every few days instead of all at once? (Yes dear wife, I know you disagree...)
