WHY I MADE THIS MOVIE, PART TWO

In my last post, I gave the "slightly selfish" reason for making this movie. So how about two good reasons for making this film?

1) No studio would ever make this film, so I had to. Now, I'm not saying that to mean that I couldn't ever get anyone at a studio to read my script (probably not, but maybe). I'm just saying that, due to the story's content, it's HIGHLY unlikely a studio would want to spend millions of dollars on this production. Our target demographic is slightly perverted couples with families who have a loving relationship. I'm not sure how many of us there are out there...

2) I wanted to share with the world what I've learned and love. Uh, I should be clear in saying this - I'm not referring to the dirty joke that I've wrapped my story in. I'm talking about the lessons I've learned in getting to where I am today. And where am I? Nowhere fancy, but I love it. And hopefully someone else will watch the film and realize why they should love their life as well.

And in addition to loving my life, I wanted to share the other things I love - dirty jokes, the Pacific Northwest, and my family. I really love seeing my wife, siblings, nephews and nieces on the big screen, but I especially enjoy seeing my kids up there. I wanted the world to see why they're special to me, and I wanted to have the experience of making the movie with them. I know it's something they'll never forget (at least it will give them something to talk to their therapists about).

As an infamous filmmaker once said, "This my movie and this my life."

Exciting stuff is coming in the next few posts. Get ready!
