SELLING POINTS

You might not be aware of this, but thousands of films are put out into the market to be sold every month. For example, I came across a trailer the other day for a newly finished film called BABY BULLDOG. Their selling points? They got Tara Reid and Dean Cain to perform some minor roles in the film.

While those two actors aren't huge "names," it might help them interest a distributor. HOWEVER, there's a cost to this, and according to IMDB Pro, the production budget ballooned to $13 million. For the producer's sake, I REALLY hope that number is wrong. (Even $1 mill seems too high from what I'm seeing.)

That would mean that our entire film cost the equivalent of one hour of filming (maybe less) of this movie. Why don't you take a look at the trailer and tell me if it looks like $13 million?

I don't like to bash other filmmakers. I truly believe that everyone who makes a film is just trying to tell the best story they can with the resources they have, and the premise of this film sounds charming. That said, the choices they made sure aren't the ones that I would have gone with.

Our selling points? An outstanding crew, an excellent cast, and a fun story. We may not have the star of SHARKNADO, but I think our film shines. Hopefully you will too!
